Brow lamination or microblading?
Atelier Regard practical guide · Updated
Both treatments make brows look fuller, but they work in completely different ways. The short answer: lamination styles the hair you already have, microblading adds strokes where hair is missing.
The difference at a glance
Lamination sets your natural brow hairs in a brushed, lifted direction and is paired with a tint at Atelier Regard. Microblading places pigment in fine strokes in the surface of the skin to imitate individual hairs.
| Brow lamination + tint | Microblading | |
|---|---|---|
| Pigment in the skin | No | Yes, semi-permanent |
| Price | $80 | $450 + $100 touch-up ($550 before taxes) |

| Healing period | None | Yes, colour softens as skin heals |
| Fills bare areas | No | Yes |
| Typical duration | Temporary | 6 to 18 months |
Choose lamination if
You have a reasonable amount of brow hair and want it to look fuller and more groomed, or you want to try a temporary result before deciding on anything semi-permanent.
Choose microblading if
You have gaps or sparse areas, or you are tired of drawing your brows every morning. Lamination cannot create hair where there is none.
Other quick brow services
Brow tint + shaping ($35, 30 min) and henna brows ($60, 30 min) are also offered. Henna typically stains the skin for up to two weeks and tints the hairs for up to six weeks.
