Korean lash lift vs a traditional lash lift

Atelier Regard practical guide · Updated

Atelier Regard offers one lash service: a Korean lash lift with tint. This guide explains what that means, how it relates to older lash perms in general terms, and what it can and cannot do for your lashes.

What a Korean lash lift is

A Korean lash lift is a newer generation of lash perm. It curls your natural lashes upward from the root so their full length shows. At Atelier Regard it is always paired with a tint, which deepens the colour of the lashes.

How it compares with a traditional lash perm

Both treatments shape your own lashes; neither adds fibres or length. The Korean lift is described as a newer approach that lifts from the root rather than simply curling the lashes. Product brands and solutions vary between studios and are not listed here: ask Yaelle at your appointment about what she uses and whether it suits your eyes.

Price and appointment

$95 including the tint, plus taxes. The appointment lasts about 45 minutes. Payment is made at the studio.

What it cannot do

A lift enhances the lashes you have. It does not add length or density, and very short or straight lashes may show a subtler result. The curl relaxes gradually as lashes naturally shed and regrow.

Before and after the appointment

Arrive without eye makeup or mascara, and remove contact lenses or bring their case. Mention any eye sensitivity or recent eye treatment before booking. Afterwards, follow the guidance given at your appointment, typically keeping lashes dry and not rubbing them for the first day.
